Douglass Student Council is hosting it's first ever SPOTLIGHT Week. During this week we will raise money and collect items to be donated to a non-profit organization that directly impact the community in which we live. After much thought and deliberation we selected Homeless Alliance. The students have committed to raising 2,000 dollars and collecting 500 pairs of socks, and Feminine hygiene products. It is our first year, and hopefully, with your help, we will exceed our goals.
I have attached a informational flyer, and a list of things that the Homeless alliance is always in need of. We will be collecting items and money until the 15th. If a donation is in the form of a check or money order make sure that it is addressed to the Home Alliance. Please share the word with other alumni and members of the community, and please support our efforts to give back to the community. We are often on the receiving end of people's generosity, but it is time that as a school that we learn civic responsibility and think of the needs of others. If you have any questions please reach out to me. Thank you for all that you do to support us.
