Willa Johnson to receive honor from the Foundation of Oklahoma City Public Schools

The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools will add three new members to its Wall of Fame.

Benton C. Clark III, Willa Johnson and Kathy Taylor will be honored Nov. 10 during the organization's annual Wall of Fame Humanitarian Awards dinner at the Skirvin Hilton downtown.

As some of you may know, Mrs. Barbara Davis, Principal of Douglass Mid-High School, has retired. Thank you Mrs. Davis for a job well done. We'd like to welcome Mr. Andrew Pearson, formerly Vice Principal at Oklahoma Centennial Mid-High School, as the new Principal of Frederick A. Douglass Mid-High School.

Christian Luper one of three seniors from Oklahoma City school district to receive Gates Millennium Scholarship

Christian Luper, 2015 graduate of Frederick A. Douglass Mid-High School, was among 1,000 students nationwide to be awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
